Artistic Director and Conductor,

"Our mission is to make classical symphonic music accessible to fellow
performers and to audiences of Poway and its surrounding areas."

Offered through the Poway Unified School District Adult Education Department, founder, concertmaster and manager, Ulli Reiner, includes community members, professional musicians, high school students, music educators and retired musicians. Rehearsals are on Monday evenings at Twin Peaks Middle School.

The Poway Symphonette, was created for musicians that desire the smaller chamber orchestra ensemble experience. We specialize in music of the Baroque and Classical periods of music history and feature string players of all ages along with wind players on our concerts.  Our performances take place at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church in Poway located on Pomerado Rd, Incarnation Lutheran Church in Poway and also at the beautiful Poway Center for the Performing Arts. Weekly Symphonette rehearsals are held at Twin Peaks Middle School in Poway from 6:00-7:00pm.

The Poway Symphonette has performed in China and in Europe at major concert halls.

In the summer of 2020 the Poway Symphonette will travel to Austria and perform at the prestigious Cantus Festival in Salzburg, Austria having been invited for a third year in a row.
