Vangelis Works

Vangelis (born in 1943) is a Greek musician, and composer of electronic, jazz, pop-rock, and orchestral music. He has composed the music for more than fifty albums. Vangelis is probably best known for his scores of the movies 1492: Conquest of Paradise, Blade Runner, and Chariots of Fire, the latter of which won an Academy Award. Some music critics consider him to be one of the greatest living composers of electronic music.

Vangelis' Opéra sauvage is a 1979 album of the score for the French television-series nature-documentary with the same name, which was directed by Frédéric Rossif. The album reached number-42 in the Billboard top 200. Vangelis and Rossif collaborated on many movies, most notably the wild-life documentaries L'Apocalypse des animaux, L'Opéra sauvage, and La Fête sauvage.
