Rules

• Salary minimum for free agents is $600,000.
• Bids have to be at least 100k higher than the previous bid.
• After 24 hours, where no further bids are made, the UFA signs with the most recent bidding team.
• Max contract is approx 15% of the cap - 12M. If bids go this high, the first GM to offer this amount successfully signs the player.
• Max number of leading bids at any given time is 5.
• Players can be signed only to 1 or 2 year deals.
• Player eligibility. Rookies must be drafted vs. signed unless they meet the standard classification to bypass NHL rookie status.
  • Skaters have to have played at least 40 NHL games or at least 10 games in two separate NHL seasons to be eligible for bidding.
  • Goaltenders must have started at least 10 NHL games in total to be eligible for bidding.
