Very good article from NZ Register of Exercise Professionals - REPs on Back Pain. There are some important recommendations at the end.
We have done extensive work in this area, and can help you with preventative exercise, post diagnosis.
Please beware: there are some commonly prescribed core strengthening exercises which are at least counter productive, and can be downright dangerous. Please obtain good advice when dealing with back issues.
