Rules and Prep

Quilt entry rules:

All members of the guild are encouraged to submit quilts for the Tulip Time Quilt Show. Non-members may not have entries in the quilt show. PAQG board and the quilt show committee will have approval over all entries. Quilts should not have been in a previous PAQG show. Quilts will not be released early from the show.

Quilt prep:

Please inspect your item(s) to make sure all threads, pet hairs, etc. have been removed. Wash any soiled spots, Iron if necessary.

Please pin or baste a 6” sleeve to the back of the quilt. The sleeve should begin at least one inch below the top of the quilt and be no longer than 90 inches. If your quilt is wider than 90 inches, center the sleeve on the quilt. This tutorial makes a 4” sleeve. Cut yours 2” bigger.

Register your quilts:

Use the current year's registration link to enter each quilt in the show. Detailed information will help us plan for the arrangement of the quilts in the show and add interest for show attendees.

General Details for the week of Tulip Time:

Monday-Show set up and quilt drop off. Please come to the new location - Pella Memorial Building - to help set up displays, hang quilts and arrange the boutique. 

Tuesday - Receive more quilts and finish set-up. Help is appreciated. The PAQG monthly meeting will be held at the Memorial Building and members will get a first look at the show.

Wed- Sat   Host our quilt show visitors. Each member should try to sign up as a host for 1-2 shifts.

Saturday night - Tear down begins after the show closes. Quilts may be picked up or arrangements made for a later date. Quilts will not be release before the show closes.
