The Georgia Historical Society has administered Georgia’s statewide marker program since 1998, erecting over 200 historical markers across Georgia on a wide variety of subjects.

Adopt-A-Marker Project

You can help care for the Historic Markers in Paulding County by "adopting" one and reporting any marker damage or missing markers to the Georgia Historical Society (GHS) at (912) 651-2125.  GHS administers Georgia's statewide marker program, erecting historical markers across Georgia.  Link to more information about Georgia Historical Markers - Click Here 

Other suggested tasks, though not required are:  Mowing grass in a 10 to 20 foot area; Removing or trimming vegetation to make sign more visible; Washing with mild soap and water.
