Tagalusiaq/Denise Wartes

Denise Tagaluksiaq Wartes is married to Itqiliuraq, and Aaka to Nipituruaq, Anayaktuaq, Alaasuraq, and Saggan. Originally from northern Michigan, Tagaluksiag is married to Itqiliuraq. She lived on the Colville River Delta area on the edge of the Arctic Ocean for several years, and now lives in Fairbanks, Alaska. She is the program manager of the Rural Alaska Honors Institute (RAHI) at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
