Nipituruaq/Gwendolyn Bunch

My Iñupiaq name is Nipituruaq, and my English name is Gwendolyn Bunch. My Father Matt Bunch was born in Ketchikan, Alaska, my Mother Nagliktuqtuk Marita Bunch was born on the Colville River Delta on the edge of the Arctic Ocean. I am in the seventh grade at Watershed Charter School. I enjoy soccer, reading, and drawing. I have danced with the Pavva Iñupiaq Dancers for seven years. My cousin Anayaktuaq Matia Wartes and brothers Alaasuraq Owen and Saggan Blake Bunch are all part of Pavva. My Aapa (Grandpa) is Itqiliuraq Mark Wartes, and he helped me start dancing and I enjoy it very much. My Aaka (Grandmother) is Tagaluksiaq Denise Wartes, who is also active with Pavva.
