My Inupiaq name is after the late Kennith Mills from Noatak.. Akukqausuq means "Playful One." My father is Sean Asikłuk Topkok. My mother is Amy Anhaughuq Topkok from Qikiqtaġruk (the place name for Kotzebue, Alaska). My paternal grandparents are the late Clifford and Aileen Topkok from Igaluniaġvik (the place name for Teller, Alaska), and Minnie and the late Delano Barr. My son is Terry Sanguk. I am Iñupiaq and Sámi.
My white fox name is Christopher and I have been teaching Inupiaq dancing and singing since 2011. I have been Native dancing since I was born.
I have been in the dance group since it began in 1999. I am one of the lead drummers. I have enjoyed the traveling with my family over the United States to represent the dance group, which has brought me to Hawaii, Texas, Florida, and Yukon Territories, Canada. My passions include hunting, fishing, being with family, and being with my son.
