Design and analysis of a new survey module in the PASS Panel Survey (by IAB, Institute for Employment Research, Germany) 2014 and upcoming years. PASS is an extensive panel survey on German welfare recipients and low-income housholds which covers several labor market relevant life domains. Moreover, the panel can be directly merged (on the individual level) to the German register data on individual (un)employment paths. Our new module allows, as one principal application, the analysis of the relationship between the individual's (potentially biased) expectations, assessments & attitudes with respect to labor market chances and their job search behavior as well as labor market outcomes.
