Purpose: The purpose of the Go the Extra Mile Award Program is to recognize employees who have served Pasti Nyala in an exceptional manner by exemplifying outstanding service through his or her work and exhibiting a positive and supportive attitude.
Criteria:
This list is useful as a reference, but is not all-inclusive. The performance statements listed are to be used to generate thought about how the competency is displayed when performed well on the job. The competency descriptions are intended to be tailored to individual positions.
Attitude and Commitment

Rules:
Nominees will be observed and judged by the Technology Planning Unit members once a month and should be submitted by the third (3rd) week of each month. Each nominator can nominate a maximum of three (3) co-workers simply by filling out and submitting a nomination form for each nominee. Once the forms are filled, they are to be submitted to Christina Yii by e-mail (tinayii1545@gmail.com).
Nominators should keep in mind the judging criteria and write the nomination accordingly. When asked why a co-worker is deserving of the award, elaborate on your response; give specific examples; using your descriptions to help the judges in picking the GEM of The Month. Attempt to reveal in words how your co-worker met each of the criteria.
Once a month, the Pasti Nyala’s GEM team will meet to review all of the nomination submissions. Each nomination will be graded according to the previously-stated criteria and the points tallied to determine the nominee’s overall score. The highest scoring nominee will be considered for the award. Once this is determined, we will verify with the Manager that the employee is not under any disciplinary action that would cause him or her to be ineligible for the award.
Once the selection has been finalized, the GEM team will present the winner in a celebration as we always have, presenting the winner with cash reward of RM100, a certificate signed by Mr Peter Yap and Mr Richard W. Sinyem and a keepsake GEM of The Month badge.
Those employees nominated, but were not chosen will received notification from the GEM team that they were nominated and the runner-ups will be presented by certificates. The picture of each month’s recipient will then be placed on the GEM of The Month wall. However, each recipient is ONLY allow to receive the maximum of three (3) GEM Awards consecutively.
