Why should I join?
If you take an interest in the return you get from the money you are spending on service charges at Park West we encourage you to become a PWRA member.
We are trying to work with Freshwater and its managing agent division Highdorn Company Limited to get better quality delivery and value for money from our service charges. We have a right to ensure that the money they demand from us is estimated to the highest RICS management standards and spent accordingly to deliver quality results we have a right to expect.
By joining together we will have a greater say in the management of your long term property investment here at this prime London location.
I've heard that the PWRA is connected to a legal dispute?
The PWRA formed on October 28th 2009 by way of an agreement between leaseholders and the landlord. The PWRA is not in any way involved in any present legal dispute with the Landlord or its Managing Agents. In fact the purpose of establishing the PWRA in accordance with the High Court Tomlin Order was to improve communications and relations with the Landlord and its managing agent division to avoid expensive legal disputes, disagreements and to increase the capital values of flats at Park West.
What do I get if I join?
You will be given membership of the PWRA which will give you access to the community and knowledge of the PWRA, together with its secure forum groups on Whatsapp. You will also be able to stand as a committee member and take a seat on the PWRA committee in our meetings with Freshwater and its contractors to steer the issues that affect the desirability and market value of your home or rental investment.
Can you advise me how to deal with a certain matter regarding my lease?
As part of meeting our directive, the PWRA provides access to information resources and discussion areas concerning the properties and the living environment at Park West. As we are not legally empowered to do so, you must not and cannot legally rely upon any information you might find on these resources, please see our Terms of Use. We recommend that you always seek your own professional advice if you have the need. Of course, should we need to consult professional advisers on issues that affect our members best interests in the future, by being a member of the PWRA you will have the advantage of those lower shared costs. We strongly encourage you to join and support us as well as to meet your neighbours and fellow leaseholders.
How big is the PWRA?
We now have a significant percentage of leaseholders in Park West who have investigated what we are about, why we are here for leaseholders and decided to join us. Not all of our members live at Park West. They are leaseholders that let their flats, but they have decided to improve the quality and value from the service charges demanded by Freshwater and so increase the value of their rental offer. This will eventually reflect positively in the rental market value of their flat and also reflect positively on the capital values and resale values of their investments.
I am not yet a PWRA Member. If I have an issue with my flat, to whom should I first make enquiries?
The landlord, Freshwater, manages its own building, Park West, through its subsidiary Highdorn Company Limited.
In the first instance and in any emergency such as a water leak, you should immediately report all issues to the Highdorn site management, at the Porters Main Reception Desk and copy email the PWRA. Highdorn are paid by leaseholders to look after and manage the building correctly.
Email the Highdorn Site Manager for Park West
If you are a PWRA Member you can also copy and report the issue to the PWRA by email, who will then raise your concerns officially with the Freshwater management.
