Cub-O-Ree Information

Cub-O-Ree is usually toward the end of September ( but in 2020) and is set up to be a great first camp out for new scouts along with scouts who may not have been camping before. Cub-O-Ree is held at Cubworld which is the same location as Cub Scout Summer Camps. The camp out usually starts at 10:00 AM on a Saturday and goes till noon on Sunday. Cub-O-Ree is meant to give scouts a taste of what scouts do at summer camp or any other scouting camp out. This is by far the easiest camping event during the scouting year.

Scouts can expect to do the following activities while at Cub-O-Ree: Shooting Sports ( BB gun and archery target shooting ), games, crafts, campfires, and skits just to name a few. Scouts can expect to complete multiple requirements toward your rank in this short amount of time. During this camp out you can also earn a shoot sports patch and complete a task toward the outdoor activity award.

The camp out is open to the whole family and it very cost effective. You have to register online, just google "Dan Beard <current year> cuboree"

I would encourage everyone to go just to get to know everyone in the pack in a very well put together camping event.

Things you need to bring to camp out at Cub-O-Ree:

  • All scouts and parents attending the campout will need to fill out A and B Medical forms and turn them in at camp the day you arrive. I suggest saving a copy of the forms so you can use them again for any summer camp you and your scout attend.
