Spring Campout Time!!!

It's Campout Time! Spring Cabin Camping is May 4-6, 2018 at Camp Manatoc. 

All cub scouts, siblings and parents are encouraged to join us. As always. we will check in Friday night, stay Friday night and Saturday night, and clean up and head home on Sunday morning. Cost is $15 per camper.

CAMPING INFO:

WHEN:    Friday evening 5/4/18 (check in at 6 PM) to Sunday 5/6/18 (check out by noon)

WHERE:  Camp Manatoc - Gilwell Lodge and Kit Carson cabin #3

WHO:      Open to all scouts and their families

COST:      $15 per camper (adults, scouts and siblings) - covers cost of food and related supplies

We have a new cabin set-up for this campout, to accommodate boys and girls: 

-- Boys and dads will stay in the Gilwell Lodge, which holds up to 24 campers max. This is on the far end of Manatoc as you head toward Camp Butler. This will be our primary cabin for cooking and hanging out. If you have a tent and can use that rather than the cabin, we encourage it to ensure all of the younger scouts and new scouts can have room in the cabin.

-- Girls and their moms will have the Kit Carson cabin #3 which holds a maximum of 8 people. This is just down the road from the Gilwell Lodge so we won't be too far apart. All girls who register as scouts prior to May 4th are welcome. 

If there are additional females (siblings or moms of boy cubs), we also have some bunks reserved in the Health Lodge.

If you can't make it for the whole weekend, come out for a while or just one night.

NOTE: You must register no later than end of day Monday, April 30. 

NOTE 2: Camping fee ($15 per camper) is due no later than Tuesday May 1, at the pack meeting. Make checks payable to Pack 3256. If you pay cash, please put in an envelope and write your scout's name and "Spring Campout Fee" on the outside.

PLANNED FUN:

HIKING -  We plan to hike on Saturday morning as a pack, working our way through Old Lake Marnoc and Minnie Ha Ha Falls.

BB-GUNS - We have the BB Gun range from 9AM to 11AM on Saturday 5/6. We will all hike over to the range that morning after breakfast. (Chris McDaniel, our Wolf assistant den leader, is certified as a scouts range master.)

MUSIC - we are planning to have the scouts all do some craft work on Saturday afternoon, to make their own musical instruments. Saturday night, our campfire program will include MUSIC.
