The 2012 Bell Nursery will focus on selecting the best Phase 3 families (P3) and Phase 2 (P2) clones. The 2 year selection
priorities will involve ease of propagation (via dormant and ASP cuttings), consistent cutting vigor and few leaf issues. All
final selections will have clone IDs and be tracked in the r4st database. See the 2011 Bell Nursery photos for samples of
these materials.
These materials should have very good rooting potential and may make good stool bed material for future field trials and
plantings. The current plan is to make about 40 to 50 P. alba selections available in the Spring of 2013 and other aspen
hybrid selections available around 2015.
