Sanctuary Rennovation

Because of the scaffolding that has been setup in the sanctuary a few of the altar server procedures must be changed until the painting is complete and the scaffolding is removed.

• No access to side steps. Do NOT try to get “through” the scaffolding at all!

  • Processional Cross becomes the sanctuary Crucifix during Mass, so it must be visible, with the corpus facing the people. Cross stand is located at top of steps near ambo (see photo). Be VERY CAREFUL not to bang the cross on the overhead scaffolding.

  • Processional candles will live over near the Ambo, near where the cantor mic should be (see photos)

  • At Gospel, candle bearers will stand up in the sanctuary, flanking the Ambo, facing inward (just like the Knights of Our Lady do it)

  • Some spacing during processions will just have to be adjusted to fit the available space

  • During the announcements the Cross and Candle servers will remain in their places. Then, after the final blessing, collect the cross and candle sticks and form up along the step for the dismissal procession
