Altar Server COVID Changes
General Guidelines:
Servers are limited to 3 maximum.
Face masks must be worn at all times.
Properly wash hands in the sacristy before and after Mass.
Use hand sanitizer before handling vessels (chalice, ciborium, etc.).
After Mass, clean the processional cross and candlesticks.
Assignments:
For now, automatic assignments will NOT be set up through the scheduling site. I hope in Q1 2021 we can get the schedules set up as in the past.
Servers wishing to serve will simply sign-in on the posted sheet on the alb closet door.
Mass Procedures:
Each server will sit in their respective places as in the past.
Book will not handle the Roman Missal, it will already be placed on the altar.
There will be no offertory procession for the foreseeable future.
The hosts and wine will be brought from the Credence Table to the Altar by the servers and presented to Father.
Chalice will set the altar unless directed otherwise.
All of the basic server procedures are in effect; the way we stand, the way we set the altar, the way we interact with Father is no different.
Refer to your training booklet to refresh your memory.
