The Forks Timber Museum:
Once considered the world capital of the logging industry, Forks, Washington remains home to a proud if greatly diminished logging community. The history, culture, industry, and neighborly spirit of past and present, of place and its people, are given their due in poignant context inside an evocative log cabin building, constructed by local high school students and standing alongside a memorial dedicated to those who lost life or limb while providing a nation with an essential natural resource.

Long before the word multicultural became circular, this town at the foot of Stampede Pass in the Cascade Range was site of the Northern Pacific Coal Company. There, for over 70 years, some two dozen different ethnic groups were represented in the ranks of miners and their families who lived side by side and called Roslyn home.
