May Sub-Interns

Timothy Swingle

Columbia University

My professional interests include pediatric emergency medicine, as well as learning about new developments in pharmacology and biostatistics. My wife and I were thrilled to have our first son, Everett, on December 25th of last year. I enjoy exercising, especially weightlifting, as well as spending time outdoors, cooking and trying new foods, and spending time with my family.

Joshua Dawson

Columbia University

My name is Joshua, and I am a Sub-Intern from Columbia Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. I am interested in sports medicine, ultrasound, global health medicine, and promoting health equity through clinical care, community programming, and research.

In my free time, you can find me at Free Weight Club, exploring NYC museums, attending R&B/Rap concerts, or playing basketball with my classmates at 50 Haven.

I am a 2024 Columbia Health Equity & Justice Fellow and the Co-Founder of Pick Up Sports and Health (PUSH) – a student-run organization designed to equip youth to pursue health professions and healthy lives. PUSH recruits health professional coaches to lead sports drills and games followed by health lessons.

Gabrielle (Gabby) Wimer
