My name is Shruthi and I'm a Sub-Intern visiting from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. Some of my academic interests include addiction medicine & improving healthcare access for unhoused individuals and asylum seekers. Currently, I've been helping start up the Human Rights Initiative/Clinic at our medical school to conduct forensic medical evaluations for survivors of torture. In my free time, I enjoy thrifting, upcycling furniture, and have been learning to skateboard.


Justin Love

Columbia University

My name is Justin Love and I am a Sub-Intern from Columbia University. I have interests in addiction medicine and global health. My notable hobbies are watching horror movies and aquarium fish keeping (I have a 40 gallon fish tank at home). I am also a dog-dad to a chocolate lab mix named Rose!







Jeremiah (JD) Douchee

Columbia University

My name is JD Douchee and I am a sub-intern from Columbia’s medical school. I am interested in critical care, social EM, and addressing health inequities related to SUD, gun violence, and people impacted by incarceration. Outside of medical school, I spend my free time hooping with my friends, visiting museums and BK-based mom & pop shops, and reading books on Black history. My current read is The Sum of Us by Heather McGee.
