I enjoy the challenge of developing replicas of slide rule scales, but don't have a lot of talent for producing physical slide rules. However, when I create replicas scales, I usually build working models with cardboard and the printed scales to make sure that the SR operates as intended.
In this section I will describe what I have learned working with paper scales and various materials.
My interest in large scale rules means I really on have experience with circular and cylindrical long scale models.
I use the Omnimetre as my sample build.
