Video tutorial

1. A teach-yourself online tutorial is here.

Core materials which may be needed during an online workshop

2. A simple Powerpoint talk, which is available (as a pdf) here. This is similar to the video tutorial, but without the recorded commentary.

3. Some notes I can talk you through, in three parts:

  a) a verbal summary of the Powerpoint talk to use if the slideshow does not display properly over Teams, Zoom or whatever

  b) some detailed issues that would distract from the core story, but may need covering in Q&A after the main presentation

  c) a step-by-step guide to the new 'Waypoint' method, only intended for people who are about to use it in practice.

The notes are here.

Additional materials which some people may need, probably at a later stage.

4. An example of some coded sequence data is here.

5. Some detailed diagrams of what successive stages of the process look like, which are here. These are really only intended for me to talk through with anyone who is doing a BSA project for real.

6. Some good examples of undergraduate student projects, which illustrate the method very nicely are here.

7. 'Action Systems' – A book by David Clarke with Jill Crossland is here. It sets sequence analysis in the context of various alternative approaches to research in psychology and cognate disciplines.

8. A brief list of further readings is here.
