Parade win! Two B meets coming up!

Happy July 4th, Neptunes!
Thanks so much to everyone who came out to today’s parade to march, cheer (we were the loudest!), help with the float, take pictures and represent our team so well. Our float took 1st place in a tie with Lake Marion’s lemonade stand float.
Special thanks go to Dave for his vision and coordination and all the paper cutters and folders, chicken wire wranglers and float assemblers, as well as those who took the time to fulfill our team responsibilities at the carnival. Nice job everyone!
Lots going on in the next week or so … this weekend we have the parade, A meet at Damascus, Parent Steak and Crab Feast and Minimeet at Flower Hill. First up next week: TWO B meets, one on Tuesday and one on Thursday.

Swimmers who are legal in their strokes and who did not swim those same strokes at Saturday’s A meet need to sign up. They are not assigned to this meet by the coaches. The deadline to sign up is the end of EVENING practice MONDAY. Swimmers can sign up here: 2014 B meet signups, or see Coach Nick at practice for the paper sign-up sheet. See the coaches after or before practice so they can recommend the strokes your swimmer should enter.

Be at North Creek pool by 5:00 for warmups.
(2) B RELAY CARNIVAL THURSDAY JULY 10 AT WHETSTONE
The B relay carnival will be on Thursday, July 10th at the new Whetstone pool! Our warm-ups begin at 5:00 p.m., so please plan to arrive by 4:45. You are encouraged to park across the street in the elementary school parking lot and cross under the street through the tunnel. Whetstone is located at 19140 Brooke Grove Ct, MV.
Our area is "Area 2" which is right near the shed and snack area. There may not be an umbrella for shade, so we may want to bring tents. Families are also encouraged to bring their own chairs, as there will be very few chairs available.
Swimmer sign up: B Relay Swimmer Signups. We just need your name. Coach Nick will put together the relay groups.
This meet is similar to the A relay meet. All the B league teams participate and it's a ton of fun. Swimmers who did not swim in the A relay will take priority. Swimmers who swam in the A relay may be able to swim in the B relays only if there are open slots in the age group that need to be filled. Anyone who signed up but will not be in the final lineup will be notified.
Helpers needed: 1 stroke & turn official, 2 clerks of course, 1 starter: 2014 Helper signups.
We will also need 2 parents/adults and 2 coaches to volunteer for the parents and coaches combined relay event. The kids really get a kick out of this, so let me know if you're available. Each leg is 25M.
