M.A. Programs in German

University of Illinois at Chicago
The Department of German has a M.A. and PhD program. Courses are regularly scheduled for evening hours.

University of New Mexico: Die Deutsche Sommerschule
Students can earn a Master of Arts degree in German Studies, within four to five summer sessions, or two to three summer sessions in addition to course work taken on campus. Up to six hours of transfer credits may count toward the degree.

Middlbury College Summer Program
The Summer Language Schools offer a Master of Arts program in five of the languages (French, German, Italian, Russian, and Spanish)

Bowling Green State University Summer Program
BGSU's summer program in Salzburg, Austria runs in cooperation with the University of Salzburg and the Internationale Ferienkurse für Deutsche Sprache und Germanistik (IFK). Graduate courses offered. Contact program for M.A. options.

GOLDEN (German On-Line Distance Education Network)
Looking for a convenient way to update your instructional skills and knowledge about the teaching and learning of German? The GOLDEN program allows to you to learn the latest instructional strategies and to integrate them directly into your German classroom via online professional development workshops.

A broad range of program options for teachers at all levels. Most programs take place in the summer.

Goethe Institute Summer Programs
The Goethe Institute offers a broad range of special courses for teachers in the summer. German teachers are eligible to apply for special funding for these programs through the Goethe-Institut-Chicago.
