Halfway through the course, one of the descriptions I can give the subject and the way it is being taught is that it doesn't deserve the name IT 1. One is the least positive integer. I am proposing a change to IT 0, for I think my time is being wasted for instruction of things I can already know by myself. The lectures are dreadful to listen to and the lab meetings have been an exercise in futility. This has been a another course I don't look forward to every week. The only aspect that may be of use to me is this blog itself, although I may be doing it all wrong.
Anyways, the showing of Attack on Titan was unexpected. What are the chances that two in four of my subjects would, I feel, let the students into their anime life. No surprise however on having those against BBC documentaries. On this instance however, it seemed like the activity on Google Docs/Presentation could have been paired with an arbitrary topic i.e. scholarly, historical, or puzzling.
On the show itself, I have trouble relating the colossal mute cannibals and their existence to any reality. But then reality is at most half the nature of fiction writers.
For the IT part, I was quite aware of cloud storage and computing services like Google Docs. Perhaps I can compare it to my experience in playing The Walking Dead zombie game, which is a point-and-click adventure game. You find that there is such a thing, you realize the promising experience and utility it can give you, and you go on from there harnessing its power and elegance.
