In the US Honda only rates the 2nd and 3rd Gen CR-Vs to tow 1,500 lbs. In the UK, Honda lists two ratings for the CR-V. One with a trailer that has brakes, and one with a trailer without brakes. The 'without trailer brakes' weight rating is about the same as the US 1,500 lbs. The 'with trailer brakes' rating is double that.
