Signal R535
VHF and UHF Airband receiver
This was a synthesized airband receiver which is no longer produced.
It performs well, unless of course, you try to interface to the remote control socket and fry the microprocessor.
I managed to obtain a copy of the service manual whilst on a visit to Lowe Electronics many years ago. Thought I'd better scan them and put them up here as a few people have asked me for them.
R535 Schematics and service manual (1.3MB PDF)
As far as I am aware there are two version of this receiver, one tunes up to 379.995MHz, the later one to 399.995. If you have an earlier one there is a documented fiddle to get it to tune the top 20MHz and allow you to save it to a memory.
You can find more information and copies of the user manuals at this fine site:
Update 9th August 2007: All the stuff on this site seems to have vanished. Fortunately I have local copies which I have managed to make into PDFs.
R535 Extended coverage above 380MHz. A couple of errors in this, It should say tuning above 379.975, not 399.975 !!
R535 Computer interfacing - See service manual above for more info.
I have also added the instruction manual for the earlier R532 receiver. Unfortunately page 2 is missing!
