Thanksgiving Food Drive

The fine-arts department, Tri-M Music Honor Society, and National Honor Society are collaborating to support 8 families for Thanksgiving. Please view the SignUp Genius to sign up and claim items to donate!

Those are the things we NEED.  There are also other items that you are welcome to purchase to help out at other times throughout the holidays.  We aren't doing a sign-up genius for these, but you are welcome to bring them in as well.  The sign-up genius is the first priority though.

Here's a list of the "extras":

 Breakfast Items

• Boxed cereal or oatmeal packets

• Pancake mix and syrup

• Granola bars or breakfast bars

• Shelf-stable milk or powdered milk

• Instant coffee or tea bags

• Canned fruit or fruit cups

 Lunch Items

• Peanut butter and jelly/jam

• Crackers

• Canned tuna or chicken

• Canned soups or stews

• Macaroni and cheese boxes

• Pasta and sauce

• Rice or instant rice packets
  
  

 Dinner Items

• Canned vegetables (corn, green beans, peas, carrots)

• Canned gravy or gravy mix packets

• Boxed cornbread mix

• Dry beans or lentils

 Snacks & Extras

• Applesauce or pudding cups

• Trail mix or nuts

• Juice boxes or powdered drink mix

• Baking mixes (brownies, muffins, cookies)

• Spices, salt, and pepper

 Other Helpful Household Items

• Paper towels or napkins

• Plastic utensils, plates, and cups

Bushy Bear Dash

The Bushy Park PTA has just reached out to us with a service opportunity! The Bushy Bear Dash is taking place on Saturday, November 15. They are looking for volunteers to help with set-up, on-course safety and route directions, water stations, and clean-up.

The event is from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., and centers on a 3-K and 1-Mile fun run starting in the bus loop at Bushy Park Elementary School (14601 Carrs Mill Rd. in Glenwood), continuing through the Old Bushy Park and Glenwood Middle parking lots before returning to Bushy Park.

Family Night at Dayton Oaks Elementary School

Date: Tuesday November 18th, 2025

Time: 6:00pm-8:00pm 

Arrival Time 5:30pm

Departure Time: 8:15pm

Location: 4691 Ten Oaks Rd, Dayton, MD 21036

Responsibilities: 20 volunteers needed to run ELA and Math stations

Children's Cancer Foundation Banquet

With over 120 attendees our wonderful community raised over $1500 towards the Children's Cancer Foundation. Thank you to all our volunteers, performers, donors, and the NHS Executive Board for organizing this beautiful event!
