Volunteers keep materials in order and shelves neat. Volunteers adopt a subject area that is of personal interest and maintain its order, accessibility, and appearance. Here is more information. Intel about how to apply will come soon!
You will visit patients in skilled nursing or long-term care facilities to:
Provide company to patients who may not receive regular visits from family
Play cards or board games or work on puzzles
Listen to music and engage with the patient in a way that is meaningful to them
Write letters if a patient has trouble writing
Help with life review, which is often a treasured gift to families
Create art projects or crafts that can become a wonderful keepsake for families
