Frequently Asked Questions

Visit our [Need Tutoring?] tab page (found in the navigation in the top bar) and fill out the form located on the page. You may need to scroll down a bit to see the form, depending on your device's dimensions. After that, wait a while and you will hopefully see an email from one of our tutors!

If you haven't gotten a response within 1 - 2 weeks, please re-enter your information into the form. It is wholly possible it got lost among other applicants.

If you do that and still don't get a response, we might be full for tutees at the moment. If the tutoring is an emergency, please email glentutors@gmail.com, and we will get things sorted out!

Please be patient; we are full-time students after all!

1. Check the tutoring sign-up form spreadsheet ( sent out in an email instead of on the website for confidentiality reasons ).

2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and look at the past few weeks in column I - the [NHS Member Tutor] column.

3. When you see an empty space, follow to the left across the row, and contact the email listed in column H about the student listed in column B & C. You can use an email template found here.

4. Wait for response!

Note: Please try to fill in all the tutor spots of the past 2 weeks! We want to help as many students who need it.

To find a physical copy, you can look in the GHS library; on a shelf next to the check-out counter, there are printed out forms for you to use.

We will usually have the opportunities posted on our announcement board.

Chapter hours are typically announced explicitly through email. You can also find service choices on our [Chapter Hour Opportunities] page under Member Information found on the top bar.

Individual hours can range from helping out at a soup kitchen to charity marathon event volunteering! Anything that falls outside of the Glentutors program and chapter hours, really. If you have an organization you'd like to serve with, this is the category for it! We've compiled some ideas for you here!

You should turn in forms to Ms. Jandu's room - room 216. When you walk in the door, there will be a shelf to the immediate left side, with bins labeled with letter ranges. Place your filled out service hour forms in the bin with your last name's letter on it.
