2020-2021

Course Summary

Below are the NExT PhD School modules confirmed so far for the 2020-21 academic year.

More will become available in due course and will be posted here.

Note that, in order to cope with Covid-19 pandemic, Universities have issued regulations on how lectures should be delivered.

These regulations can change with time, and every major change will be published on this webpage.

Lecturers will make individual decisions according to University regulations on what VC software to use for this purpose.

In all cases they will inform students beforehand as well as record and share all sessions.

In the Autumn term,  all lecture content will be prerecorded, and each course will offer a one-hour interactive session per week.

Please click here for the detailed list of topics, as well as the corresponding lecture material.

Using Visimeet/Visionable Software

Some lectures will be accessible using the software Visimeet/Visionable

If you don't have the software installed, you can register for free and download the software from https://janet.iocom.com/account/signup.php?refer=sepnet

In order to have access to the recordings, it is important that you download the package from the above URL.

To access the recording, go to the Recorder menu of Visimeet/Visionable (accessible with CTRL+R from the keyboard). You should be able to see all recordings. Since free licences give you access only to a limited number of streams, you can select your preferred stream when playing the recording, by clicking on the icon featuring the camera.
