Commuter convoys to Boston are hibernating until spring. We hope you'll join us then for rides to Government Center and the Longwood Medical Area.
The BPTF is once again leading bike convoys to the monthly 2015 Boston bike rallies at Government Center. Join us for a leisurely ride via the Charles River paths, assembling at Newton City Hall at 6:30am on one Friday each month: April 24, May 15, June 26, July 24, and August 28. It's all on our calendar and at http://www.bikefridays.org/. Whether you're not sure how to safely commute to Boston, or you just want to enjoy some company on a beautiful morning ride along the Charles, please join us.

The convoy arrives at City Hall Plaza in Boston around 7:30, where a free breakfast (courtesy of Boloco, Whole Foods, Larabar, and Iggy's Bread) and expo are held. Full details at BikeFridays.org.

Biking to work can be fun, safe, and a pleasant change from driving or taking the T. It's probably not as difficult as you may think. Here are some tips to help you take the plunge.
Thursday May 16th - Guided Bike Ride to Longwood Medical Area
Join the first bicycle commuter convoy from Newton to LMA! The Newton Bicycle/Pedestrian Task Force is sponsoring a ride to the free breakfast reception at the Longwood Medical Area. No gas, no fare, and no parking expenses!
We begin assembling this Thursday morning May 16th at 6:30am at the Whole Foods on Beacon Street for a guided ride via the Beacon Street bike lanes. You can also join the ride at 6:50am in Newton Center in front of the First Baptist Church.
Bring your helmet and bike in good working order. We ride rain or shine!
