UNION FREIGHT RAILROAD
This Boston freight railroad ran between South Station and North Station serving customers along the streets and connecting the New Haven, Boston & Albany and Boston & Maine. It was unusual because shrouded "dummy" geared steam locomotives powered the railroad until dieselazation in 1950.
