The Adoption Process

Because we foster, which means live with, these adoption dogs, we get to know them in a home environment. We ask you to listen carefully to our comments and recommendations. We know the individual dogs and we’ve lived with a lot of Airedales. When we feel a dog is ready for adoption, we carefully consider every applicant waiting to adopt. Our phone conversations with you, your written application, a visit to your home by a rescue volunteer (usually with an Airedale), all help us make the right decisions.

And please be patient with our "zeal." Each dog becomes one of our own. We love them and want the best for them, but we simply cannot keep all the wonderful Airedales who need homes. We need you and the dogs need you.

We sincerely hope that if you decide that an Airedale is the dog for you that you will consider adopting a rescue dog. They are wonderful dogs who have run into circumstances beyond their control and now find themselves in need of people who are willing to make a caring commitment to them for the rest of their lives. We hope that you will be one of those people and will join us in discovering the rewarding world of rescue dogs.
