Ndotech as the Ndola Girls National Technical Secondary School is fondly referred to,was opened on June 2, 2008 with 14 teachers. It is situated opposite the Dag Hammarskjold memorial site about 12 kilometers north of the Ndola Central Business District.The School became the third technical school after Hillcrest and David Kaunda Technical Secondary Schools, which have been the only core technical educational institutions in the country.It is one of the many technical boarding schools that the government of Zambia is establishing in every province of the country. The school has a student population of 600 learners from grades 8 to 12. Each stream is composed of 3 classes, making up 15 classes in total across the school. The school is headed by Sister Theresa Mukuka, a catholic nun.
