About PCGMR
PCGMR (Promotion Center for Global Materials Research), NCKU
PCGMR was established in July 12011 and will function till the end of 2014, but continued till 2016, thereafter survived till 2020.
This Center aims to up-grade of Global Status of NCKU via Materials Science and Engineering, thus mainly. Following international Activities will be included.
Organizing international conferences, meetings, and seminars
Organizing (chairs, advisors, etc.) in international meetings, then Lecturing(Plenary, Keynote and Invited)
Conducting(President-ship, Board Member-ship, etc.) in International Societies
Inviting Global-level Scholars then Build-up Cooperation via MOU
Encouraging exchange program for young members and graduate students including i-CAMP project in NCKU.
The director of PCGMR
This center is headed by Prof. Masahiro Yoshimura, who is one of ISI Highly cited Researchers with total citations >12,000 and h-index: 54, and has leadership in international societies: i.e. a senate (advisory board) member in International Union of Materials Research Societies (IUMRS), the founding president of International Solvothermal and Hydrothermal Association (ISHA), the president of International Advisory Board Committee in World Academy of Ceramics (WAC), etc. The Center supports I CAMP program for International Students. Following international Activities will be included.
