Southern Pecan Pie

Maggie's Pecan Pie Recipe

This is an easy recipe that our family enjoys around the holiday season.

(ingredients for 1 pie)

1/2 stick melted margarine

1-1/4 cup (packed down) light brown sugar

2 eggs (whole)

1 tablespoon cornmeal (or wheat flour)

1-1/2 tablespoon water

1/2 teaspoon vanilla flavor

1-1/4 cup coarsely chopped pecans with a pinch of salt

9" regular white-dough pie crust -- Pillsbury or Pet-Ritz

Add ingredients one at a time in following order: sugar, melted margarine, eggs, other ingredients, and pecans last. Pour ingredients in pie-pan. Bake at 325F-350F for 45 minutes. Serve with whipped cream or cool-whip topping.
