Rockcastle County Giant Geodes

The heavy spring rains of 2011 brought in a good crop of Kentucky agate.

I found some huge chert geodes in a location where I've not seen them before. The quality isn't jewelry-grade as with Kentucky banded-agate, but the size of these geodes is remarkable. The largest geodes are shown below, weighing 124, 85, and 54 pounds (click on picture to enlarge image).

The largest geode is nearly 2 feet in diameter!

Also I found some nice hunks of blue moss agate shown at the front left and right of the picture with red skin and yellow skin.
