Dear all,
In twenty –first century we all believe that men and women should be treated equally in every sphere. Each one of us can be a pioneer within our own realm of control and take an oath to promote gender parity. In this context Narula Institute of Technology organizes a Mini Marathon and cordially invites all to run for this noble cause. This event aims to spread the message of Gender uniformity among the people. The Marathon ‘Pledge for Parity’ will be flagged off from Kamarhati bus stand on 8th March, 2016 at 4pm.
Let’s participate in this virtuous occasion on the International Women’s Day and vow in favour of Gender equality.

Special attraction for the participants
At the successful completion of the run(5.5km) the participants will receive a certificate of recognition from the organizing institute
There will be a small token of honour for the first three contestants in the Men’s and Women’s category respectively.
Each candidate will receive a T-shirt and cap with the Marathon pledge imprinted on it
The refreshment will be served at the end of the event
Health precautions and safety measurements
There will be constant supply of drinking water, biscuits, toffees and glucose during the Run
The route will be indicated clearly and the volunteers will guide the participants throughout the way
There will be arrangement of escort vans, medical team with preliminary first-aid and ambulance
General Rules & regulations
The minimum age of the participants should be 16 years
The last date of registration for participation is Friday, 2nd March,2016
The registration fee is as follows:
Students of Narula Institute of Technology: Rs 30 per candidate
Faculty & staff members of Narula Institute of Technology: Rs 150 per candidate
External participants: Rs 160 per candidate
The participants should carry the receipt token on the day of the event which is necessary to receive the T-shirt, cap ,vest number and refreshment
All runners must follow the instructions given to them by the Race Organizers. Refusal to follow any such instructions may result in disqualification
All runners must have their number fastened to the front of their running vest and it should be visible at all times during the race
The runners who complete the race is only eligible to receive the certificate of recognition
Runners will not leave bottles, food wrappers, or any other waste on the route, except for official areas where specific canister for garbage disposal will be kept
