Prospective Research Associates

Applications for Summer 2020 are now open and should be turned in through the general PRH volunteer application. These are due February 21st, 2020.

Applications to begin in Fall 2020 will also be turned in through the general PRH volunteer application (opens March 2nd).

This program is a great opportunity for students to spend time in a clinical setting, experience direct patient interaction and network with the hospital staff. If you are accepted, you will be giving surveys to patients in the Emergency Department to contribute to NARAP research projects, as well as assisting staff within the Emergency Department as a volunteer. We will show you how to give the survey when you go through NARAP training and you will also attend a general PRH volunteer training. The program requires you to fulfill one four-hour shift per week for ten weeks each term, with some flexibility. At the end of each term, a letter of evaluation will be sent to your advisor to provide them information about your involvement. In order to reduce bias, you will not be allowed to volunteer at any other part of the hospital during the time you are in this program.
