About EMDR
When we think of "trauma," we often think of what is sometimes called "big T Trauma" -- incidents like car accidents, violence, abuse and war.
Trauma can also include so-called "small t trauma," which includes repeated instances of negative messaging or emotional mistreatment that teach us that we aren't good enough, loveable or safe.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a powerful therapy that helps your brain make sense of both of these kinds of trauma, enabling you to put them into long-term memory where they belong, so you don't have to feel upset or trapped by them any longer.
