Students in grade 3-5 at all elementary schools will participate in two Understanding Our Differences (UOD) programs this school year. Programs typically start with a 30 minute video or presentation about the disability, followed by 3-4 small group activities that run about an hour, and finish with a speaker and Q&A.

- 5th Grade: Autism and Learning Disabilities
- 4th Grade: Intellectual Disabilities and Physical Disabilities
- 3rd Grade: Hearing and Visual Impairments
Fast Facts
- No experience necessary. There will be a 20 minute online training session. Scripts and materials are provided.
- You do not need to have a child in the school or grade to volunteer.
- If you have volunteered for a program before, you only need to attend the small group activity segment. Of course you are welcome to attend the entire program.
