Photo Enhancement

Virtually every photo that is professionally published has been enhanced to:

• improve its contrast;
• improve the colour balance;
• dodge and burn sections;
• or many other enhancements to get the best out of the image. You can't fix a bad photo but you can turn a great photo into an excellent one. This task is for those who want to learn how to get the best from their best photos.

It is always worth looking at great photos for inspiration. I love looking at National Geographic's best photos for any year. I am always amazed at how good the world's best photographers actually are:

Work Task

This task is quite simple. You need to choose at least 3 of your best photos and use the Youtube tutorials on this page to see if you can improve them.

You need to show the original photo and the enhancement and explain briefly what you did to enhance the photo.
