Hally ran a #2 All Time performance in the 3200m/9:16.67 (converted 2m) and ended up #9 in both the 800m/1:58.29 and the 1600m/4:20.23 (converted 1m).

Padua Girls/Salesianum Boys Take Team Titles!

Girls' Highlights:

Despite winning only 3 events and suffering disqualifications in the open 400m and 4 x 400m (costing them 18 points), the Pandas depth was too much for runner-up Smyrna (133.5-100), and the rest of the state. Their wins on the track came from sophomore Lydia Olivere, a double winner for the Pandas in the 1600m and 3200m, enduring pressure from Tower Hill's Isabelle Pilson/5:02.99 and Newark's Rachel Beston/5:06.14 in the 16 and then Beston/11:02.32 again along with Keelin Hays/11:06.29 in the 3200m. Olivereposted impressive marks in both events - 1600m/4:59.91 and 3200m/10:57.61 - #5 and #9 All Time and a Sophomore Class Record in the 3200m! The only other victory for Padua was in the Pole Vault, with Darby Deutsch leading a Panda sweep vaulting 11-00, tying #5 All Time! Her teammates Kelly Muschiatti (11-00) and Camryn Harris (10-06) placed second and third.

Middletown's Daija Lampkin was the sprint star, sweeping all three sprint events, 55m/7.04, 200m/25.22, and 400m/56.42! Her 400m is now #2 All Time!

Micaiah Dendy, of St. Georges, was the winner in both horizontal jump events winning the Long Jump in 17-02.25, followed by the Triple Jump in 36-09.25. The Triple Jump was unusual in that 3 girls tied for the leading mark (Dendy, Shantell Kargbeh/Smyrna and Arryana Daniels/Padua), determining place with their second best effort.

The High Jump champion was also from St. Georges - Victoria Shepard/5.00.

Delcastle's Sherita Lowman won the 55mH in 8.38.

Smyrna's Myrissa McFolling-Young continued her season-long domination in the Shot Put, taking the win with a throw of 38-08.25.

In the relays, Smyrna took both sprint relays while the girls from Tatnall won the 4 x 800m (#10 All Time/8:11.50).

Boys' Highlights:

Behind a dominant 68 points in the distance events, the boys from Sallies took the team title over runner-up Dover and third place Glasgow - 100/78/53.

Led by senior Andrew Hally, who won both the 1600m and the 800m and was runner-up in the 3200m, their depth in the distance events went unmatched anywhere else on the field and track. Hally and three teammates, Colin Parker, John Walker, and George Steinhoff, posted a sweep in the 1600m (Hally/4:26.63, Walker/4:27.10, and Steinhoff/4:29.92) and the 800m (Hally/1:59.95, Parker/2:00.88, and Walker/2:00.94), while going 2-3-4 in the 3200m (Hally/9:50.05, Steinhoff/9:52.45, and Walker/9:55.33). None could catch a fresh Kevin Murray (Charter) in the 3200m who went wire-to-wire in 9:28.32. Sallies also picked up key points in the Pole Vault placing 1-2 (Matthew Kosciwicz/13-02.00 and Noah Bale/12-06.00).

Glasgow's Ja'saan Cunningham was the short sprint champion winning the 55m/6.51 and the 200m/22.99 and anchoring his team's winning 4 x 200m.

Howard's Edwin Rosembert, runner-up in the 55m, was the 400m champion (50.85), out-leaning Charter sophomore Roy Lee.

Delcastle's Justin Walls won the 55mH in 7.76, giving the Cougars a Girl/Boy sweep in that event.

A pair from AI duPont took championships in the field - Noah Agwu won the Shot Put in 52-06.75 in his final attempt, while teammate Tahaire Riley was victorious in the High Jump with 6-04.

The horizontal jumps were swept by Malachi Davis, a junior from Mount Pleasant, taking the Long Jump in 21-03 and the Triple Jump in 45-03.

In the relays, Glasgow took the 4 x 200m, Dover was the winner in an exciting 4 x 400m, and the boys from Tatnall won the 4 x 800m championship.
