Still marvellously warm end of summer.
The Wild Life Area is in full swing, plenty of vegetation and shrubs. It has really recovered from the disturbances introduced during the Spring/Autumn watch program.
Plenty of berry being produced by the elders trees and even some of the saplings planted during the works have survived.
In particular is pleasing to see the hazels (Corylus) have survived to some extent. In future they will be an asset to the place.
While visiting the palace some light cleaning is done too.
A little cosmetic, as there is detritus in abundance, still we clean up what we can trying not to disturb the place and it fauna too much.
I and Alison have come down for the occasion and both are pleased with what we found and for the little maintenance.
