The"Friends of Surrey Square Park" (FoSSP) are the latest incarnation of this interest; it is a dedicated group of residents that volunteer some practical activities for the park maintenance, keep watch over it (and the Council offices that should care for it) and engages in lobbying and fund-raising to improve it.
Friends of Nursery Park Row It is a sister group to FoSSP they fought a hard and seemingly impossible battle to save the park.
Friends of Burgess Park It is the main park Friends Society in the neighbourhood. They do a lot of things but are mainly connected to the Arts and gardening. A little fractious but large and with very dedicated people.
London Wild Life Trust . Mammoth organisation. I never like them too much but there is no doubt that they do a lot of work.
Penbroke House Community Garden is the Local Church of England gardening project (there are variations on the activities, so always check the Penbroke House website first).
(Bricklayers Arms T&RA with) Salisbury Row Park committee used to run one of the best-managed pocket parks in the vicinity. It was an inspiration for us all.
Surrey Square Primary School one of the main users of the Surrey Square Park
