In 1968 Norbert's nephew, Kenneth P. Schleich became a partner in the funderal home business and they opened a second location at 2692 Dewey Avenue in Greece, NY. This is when the name changed to Vay & Schleich Funeral Home. Eventually Robert E. Vay (the grandson of Joseph Vay who was Norbert's older brother) joined the company.
