Julius' naturalization certificate shows he arrived on June 24, 1870, became a naturalized citizen on July 5, 1888 and at that time was residing at 509 East 11th Street in New York City. He lists his occupation as a cabinetmaker.
Julius appears for the first time in the 1880 census as living in New York City with his wife, Mary, and daughter, Barbara, who is seven years old and was born in New York.
In Julius' brother's obituary (Edward) of 1905 he is listed as still living in New York City.
Julius shows up in the 1906 RCD for the first time and is listed as a cabinetmaker and living at 395 Maple Street with his brother Rudolph and Rudolph's family.
The 1910 census shows Julius as a widower working as a servant and living with his brother, Rudolph's, widow, Mary. There is no indication of his daughter.
In the 1911 RCD Julius is listed as a driver and still living at 395 Maple.
The 1916 RCD shows Julius as removed from this city to New York City.
Julius does not appear in the 1920 census and he does not appear to be buried in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
