Egg Nog

Ingredients

2 egg yolks

1/4 cup sugar

salt

2 cups milk

2 tbsp rum

1/2 cup whipping cream

freshly grated nutmeg

Preparation

Beat egg yolks, sugar & salt in top of a double boiler.   Add milk & mix well.  Cook over hot water until mixture coats a metal spoon.  Stir frequently.  Chill.  Add rum & stir.  Fold in stiffly beaten whipped cream.  Pour immediately into glasses, & top with a little grated nutmeg.
