"This data is of unverified gas locations in Montana, and was compiled from miles away using internet resources. Where possible, and I remembered i placed comments and websites in the waypoint properties, and all are filed under waypoint category 15."
Fuelmans POI index of Montana fuel locations: (http://www.poi-factory.com/node/23501); This POI file contains 185 Fuelman locations in Montana. The data were derived from the website station locator and includes only the locations that could be geocoded to address accuracy with the Google geocoder. The description field includes which features (fuel brand, 24-hour service, 18-wheeler, diesel, biodiesel, E85, Maintenance, pay at pump) are available.
BigDog;s Continental Divide track from ADV, and BigDog's site Note: except for the Fuelman's waypoints I tended to follow BigDog's lead in naming conventions, and listed the waypoints for gas with a (G), gas and food as (GF), gas fuel and lodging as GFL with a town or area after. These in some cases will not be an exact location, only an indication of it's availability in the general vicinity. (https://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=108842&highlight=bigdog)
Various other ride reports on ADV, and the CDT list on Yahoo
Various websearchs google fuel locations near a town or area, and various vendors websites i.e. Sinclair, TownMart etc. with station locators.
